The AAM Fundamentals Course is a 100-hour foundational program covering the core principles of permanent makeup, including sanitation, skin anatomy, color theory, and mapping.
Duration: 6-day in-person training.
Techniques: Ombre Brows, Lip Blush, and Eyeliner Tattoo (Lash Enhancement).
Hands-on Experience: You will complete 6 live model procedures (2 Ombre Brow, 2 Lip Blush, and 2 Eyeliner).

The course runs Monday through Saturday:
Monday – Wednesday (9:00 am – 6:00 pm): Focused on theory, anatomy, and technique practice. Daily homework is assigned.
Thursday – Saturday (Model Days): Starts at 9:00 am. Thursday/Friday typically end around 7:30 pm; Saturday ends around 5:00 pm.

Classes are capped at 3 students. This small size ensures personalized attention, individualized feedback, and ample practice time.

To practice legally in New Jersey, you must:
Complete the AAM 100-hour Fundamentals Course (including 6 live models).
Complete an apprenticeship consisting of 9 additional model procedures (3 brows, 3 lips, 3 eyeliner). These can be booked through our online system for $200 each (bundles available).
Pass the AAM Board Exam to become certified.

No. A cosmetology or esthetician license is not required to enroll in permanent makeup training or to practice in New Jersey. You only need to fulfill the AAM and state-specific requirements.

No. The course is open to students from any state. The AAM Board Certification is recognized nationwide.
Note: Students from outside NJ only need to complete the 6 models included in the course; the 9 additional apprenticeship models are strictly a New Jersey state requirement.
